Engine room and technical supplies are where ship supply turns into ship engineering. A single missing seal can hold a vessel at the berth; a wrong-sized filter can cancel a sailing. Ship Supplys runs a dedicated technical desk staffed by people who read maker drawings, recognise part numbers and call the right OEM supplier on the first try.
Our most active technical categories include pumps and spares (centrifugal, screw, gear and reciprocating), filters (fuel, lube oil, hydraulic and air), valves (gate, globe, butterfly, ball), bearings and seals, gaskets and packing materials, separators consumables (Alfa Laval, Westfalia), purifier parts and fuel system items for MAN, Wärtsilä, MAK, Mitsubishi and other major engines. Each spare is delivered with a part-number cross-reference, certificate of conformity where available, and a clear photo of packaging condition.
Lubricants and hydraulic oils are supplied in drums, pails and bulk where the vessel can take it. Major brand options — Shell, Castrol, ExxonMobil, Total — are available with MSDS and analysis reports. We also stock greases, cleaners, degreasers and engine room chemicals such as descalers, corrosion inhibitors and boiler treatments. For tankers, all chemicals are MSDS-documented and compatible with terminal safety requirements at Botaş and energy terminals.
Workshop consumables make a big difference during drydock at Tuzla and Pendik. Welding electrodes (E6013, E7018, stainless and aluminium rods), welding gases (oxygen, acetylene, argon, mixed), cutting discs, grinding wheels, sandpaper, wire brushes, tapes, sealants and adhesives are stocked or sourced same-day. Hand tools, power tools (corded and battery), measuring instruments and PPE complete the workshop range.
AOG (Asset on Ground / Aircraft on Ground-style urgency) situations are our specialty. When a critical pump bearing fails at anchorage and the vessel must sail in 12 hours, we contact OEMs directly, arrange international courier (DHL, FedEx, hand-carry) and handle Turkish import customs in parallel. Re-export documentation is prepared so the spare clears as ship's stores without import duty.
For long projects in the Tuzla shipyard zone, we operate weekly consolidated deliveries: one truck per week loaded with everything ordered that week, reducing yard gate traffic and simplifying receipt. Standing orders are reviewed monthly with the project manager so stock levels match the actual workscope.
